MB Lockers opens in Seville: 24/7 automated luggage storage on Luis Montoto, a short walk from Santa Cruz

Seville adds a new luggage store to the LockMe network. MB Lockers is now open at Calle Luis Montoto 11 (left-hand unit), 41003 Seville, a few minutes' walk from the Santa Cruz quarter and the Murillo Gardens. It's the second opening we've supported in the city in a few weeks, and that's no coincidence: Seville has more than enough tourist volume for several luggage stores to coexist, each covering a different part of town.

Where Locker Base covers the Santa Justa station axis, MB Lockers sits at the visitor's other natural gateway: the edge of the historic centre, right where the monumental city begins.

The location: Luis Montoto 11, at the entrance to the old town

Luis Montoto is one of the main avenues linking the centre with the east of the city, with plenty of city bus lines and steady foot traffic. The shop is on the first stretch of the street, the closest to the historic centre. Approximate walking times:

  • Santa Cruz quarter and Murillo Gardens: about 5-8 minutes
  • Real Alcázar: about 12-15 minutes
  • Cathedral and Giralda: about 15 minutes
  • Santa Justa station (AVE): about 12 minutes
  • San Bernardo station (metro, Cercanías and tram): about 12-15 minutes
  • Plaza de España: about 20 minutes

For visitors, that means dropping the bag and walking straight into the monumental area, no transport needed.

Three sizes, XXL included

MB Lockers has gone for a three-size line-up that covers everyone from the light traveller to the family with several suitcases:

  • M: cabin suitcase, day pack or sports bag.
  • XL: large check-in suitcase or high-capacity trolley.
  • XXL: two large suitcases together, a family's luggage, or bulky items like strollers or sports gear.

The XXL makes a real difference in a city like Seville, where many visitors arrive as families or groups and don't want to pay for two lockers to store two suitcases.

How it works: book, scan, done

Like every shop on the network, MB Lockers runs unstaffed, 24 hours a day:

  1. The customer books at mblockers.com, picks size and hours, and pays online.
  2. They receive a QR code by email.
  3. At the shop, they scan the QR and their locker opens automatically.
  4. They come back whenever they like within the booked time, with the same QR.

Behind it runs the full LockMe stack: operator-branded site, payment gateway, remote control of every locker, automatic invoicing and review requests after pickup. If a customer is late to collect, the system calculates and charges the extra time automatically, with no intervention from the operator.

Why Seville has room for more than one luggage store

Seville welcomes millions of visitors a year and has two big peaks, Holy Week and the April Fair, when demand for luggage storage soars. But even outside those dates the pattern repeats every day: people arriving by AVE in the morning with the hotel not yet open, cruise passengers and day-trippers, or travellers who leave their apartment at noon and fly out at night.

The historic centre is also largely pedestrian, with narrow cobbled streets, and in spring and summer the heat is intense. Dragging a suitcase through Santa Cruz at 35 °C is no plan. A luggage store on the edge of the old town solves exactly that problem.

A day in Seville from MB Lockers

A typical route for someone who leaves their bag on Luis Montoto:

  • Morning: the Santa Cruz quarter and Murillo Gardens five minutes away, then the Real Alcázar (best with a booked ticket).
  • Midday: Cathedral and Giralda, and tapas around the area.
  • Afternoon: a walk to Plaza de España and María Luisa Park.
  • Back: pick up the bag and head to Santa Justa, about twelve minutes on foot.
